I was looking at Sam's Club's web site http://www.samsclub.com/ and decided to make the store in Honolulu "my club" so I could see what we might be able to order prior to our arrival and make our food shopping a little quicker once we arrived. Some of the prices might be a "little" higher that we pay, at least here in Oklahoma...we will be able to get anything that is not perishable picked for us and available to pick up i.e. juice, water, cereal, soda etc. Then we will only have to pick up items such as milk (2% - $4.07), eggs (5 dozen for $8.75), hot dogs, hamburger, steak, fruits, veggies and whatever it is we decide we are going to eat. It also seemed they had a wide variety of floatation devices for the children between $16 and $22, I don't know what anyone is planning for this, but I think Amanda and I will buy there if we decide the girls need anything. Mom did suggest that one night (maybe Friday) we purchase items and allow the kids to make homemade pizza, they may or may not enjoy that...i think ours will...what do ya'll think?
Has anyone else looked at the menu for the Luau ? Here is the link http://www.polynesia.com//alii-luau/alii-luau-menu.html I also noticed there are some recipes on the web site for some of the foods we will be able to try, let me know if anybody tries to make any of them...don't know how much taro ya'll have but our crop is pretty limited...
Today's word in Hawaiian is Pupu (poo-poo) which means appetizer, snacks or finger foods.
