I was looking at things that have been invented/discovered in the last 100 years...aside from the obvious things like Cassette Tapes, CD's, DVD's, computers, ect. I found a few others that were interesting, at least to me. There were a couple that were pertinent to some of our livings that happened a few years before Granny was born, Henry Ford and the Ford Motor Company introduced the Model A in Detroit in 1903 which was the same year that an historic flight took place at Kitty Hawk.
Things that have been invented/discovered since 1907:
The Spork - 1907 (image above), Ford Model T - 1908, Aluminum Foil - 1910, the Bra - 1913, the Calculator - 1917, Band-Aids - 1920, Q-Tips - 1923, Kool Aid - 1927, Freon - 1928, Scotch Tape - 1930, Ball Point Pen and Nylon - 1938, Atomic Bomb - 1939, Disposable Diapers - 1950, Microwave and TV Remote - 1955, Communications Satellite - 1962, Waffle Sole Running Shoes - 1971, MRI - 1973, Prozac - 1987 and WI-FI Network -2002.
It is amazing to think of all the history that has happened since Granny was born, I mean just think, Granny was 21 when they invented sliced bread (1928).
Today's word is Imu (ee-moo) means underground oven...speaking of which Mom says the tickets for the PCC have been purchased for Granny's birthday party.

I might have one of those Spork things around here somewhere. I really didn't know what it was. I'm writing to let everyone know that the T-Shirts are here. Dad and I went over and picked them up yesterday. The Colors look really good. The Baby's is so cute......
Did I tell everyone that we found the manual and a picture of the 1922 Model-T Ford that belonged to Granny's Dad? We found other interesting things like her War Ration Book (with stamps) and quite a few of her report cards. It's interesting how one life can create a whole museum.
